4nights In HK , I fell In love!

HongKongers are resourceful. Small shop space in Mongkok,Tsim Sha Shui and Yau mei Tee selling many things. I hope i did learn something valuable from them. I love Hongkong for their food and the people-scurrying scenes. Oh, by the morning when i had waken up in my very bedroom i missed the HK breakfast so badly. Then, i could only look at some digital photos which i had taken with my sumptuous Breakfast. "HongKong and Neon lights are like lovers" a quote from Lonely Planet travel guide. The city was famous for its night view, thousands of people gathered around the Harbour area to view its nightly laser show... ...magnificent!

Transport is an ease there. Salute to its well-developed infrastructure. With the aid of maps, MTR, Mini buses and Trams we could almost get to all tourist destinations. I personally love the experience most on the tram rides. Language is a barrier to me though because i can't speak Cantonese. Luckily she was there to help most of the time.

Then i remember speaking to the lady at Happy Valley that day. She was a friendly worker at the punting booth. I had been trying to figure out how did the game worked. After 15mins of explanation, it was all easy. I then place my bets and sat with the local punters whom had been holding on to copies of tipsters recommendation. "The very HK thing that i have done!" Although i didn't win, i was delighted!

Its attraction could never been undermine by others. One of mine best experience was the TaiPing360-PoLin Monestry & Big Buddha. I felt the cold breeze for the first time... Height was no longer a barrier to Joy. Even older counterparts had overcome flights of steps to The Big Buddha. Perhaps to pray, perhaps for the sight & air...I was there, literally walking on the clouds and feeling close to heaven. Although my hands had been freezing but heart had been warmth.

Travelling in a public mini-bus to my relative place at "爱民春" was the closest experience to being a Hongkonger. It was all different from the way we ask to driver to stop. While ours' are electronic buttons, theirs are talking directly to the driver...of course in Cantonese. It felt very personal.

My HK Aunt got me a treat and insisted on paying... Then i recall the Travel guide saying "it is very rude to insist footing a bill of a HK host" When we went to a clothes boutique at the neighbourhood, my insistent aunt paid for some clothes which i had gotten... "Hai, i must give her a good treat someday!"

Oh, there was these little niece of mine, Tung Tung... her name. She's the next miss HK! And i miss her badly now... :(

I took a Cathay Airplane to a Cathay City! It wasn't my first flight but flying alone, Yes!
To a traveler, there is always a bad experiences from time to time. When i stayed in a budget room at ChungKing building, i had a very bad night. I mean it had been a great day of shopping and walking. But when I needed to rest... i got back to my small-budget bed, lights off and the flies started crawling out everywhere. They bite and it itches...Irks me! "Valuable experience out of valuable act-一份价钱一份货!"

All said, its the experience that counts. When you mingle with the people, their stories starts to unfold. When you take a ride, you want to ride it like the Hongkongers. When you want a Hotel room you move around, get inform and hire the local middleman. When you are hungry, no fanciful restaurants, just patronize the street hawkers... "I Love HK!"
